Autumn Oat Groats

AUTUMN OAT GROATS

Ingredients
  • 2½ cups water
  • ½ tsp ground clove
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ⅓ cup currants, raisins, blueberries
  • ¾ cup Oat Groats (steel cut)
  • ⅓ cup oat bran (optional)
  • ⅓ cup walnuts
  • Topping
  • 1-2 Tbl coconut milk or sprinkle coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (only the kind from trees!
  • A shake of cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Bring water, spices and fruit to a boil. Add oat groats, bran and nuts, bring to a boil, then cook 20-30 minutes, on low heat. Add more water if necessary. Add toppings. Eat slowly, if possible!
