Chia seeds provide Omega 3 FA, Anti-oxidants, Fiber and Protin and hold up to 10x their weight in water, so can help hydrate the body. Add a teaspoon to your favorite beverage for a little more bulk and nutrition.
Ingredients
- Basic Recipe
- Chia Seeds to Liquid Ratio - 1:4
- Ideas:
- 1 quart nut milk (hazelnut makes for a fun flavor)
- 1 cup chia seeds
- 3 prunes, chopped and soaked in ginger tea (1-2 slices of ginger whizzed in blender with ½ cup hot water, then strained)
- 1 tsp Coconut nectar or coconut sugar
- top with chopped pecans
- Add ingredients to 1 quart ball jar, cap it and shake. It will be ready to eat in 2 hours.
