Almond Milk
Recipe type: Nut milk for soups, shake and smooties

Ingredients
  • 1 cup of raw almonds, soaked for 3 hours in purified water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder or extract
  • 1tsp maple syrup
  • 3 cups water
Instructions
  1. Ideally, soak nuts for two hours in water and drain the nuts.
  2. Place in blender with vanilla powder or extract, sweetener and 3 c water.
  3. Blend til smooth - 1-3 minutes, depending on your blender and desired consistency
  4. Strain. Cheescloth or nut milk bags work great.
  5. Store in refrigerator. Use within 2-3 days.
